I was expecting an email to be sent the employer when the employee applys for the job. i was expecting to receive an eamil with a copy of the CV. This did not work.

Custom SMTP has been added in the dashboard. You can now set your own email configurations and when someone apply to a job posted by a business, they will receive an email with the user resume link. By providing your own email customizations it lets you customize the from name, the email is actually yours and SMTP works with basically any email provider.
